Pocket Chirps 2: Pixel RPG UI Sounds (138 SFX, 6 Kits)
A downloadable sound pack
In short: Pocket Chirps 2 is a pack of 138 original UI sound effects for pixel-art and RPG games: six matching kits (wood, stone, synth, soft, glass/water, minimal) with the same 23 menu, dialogue and reward events in each. WAV and OGG, ready for Godot, Unity, GameMaker, RPG Maker, Construct, LÖVE, Phaser and the web.
Every kit covers the sounds a game menu actually needs: hover, three clicks, tabs, slider ticks, toggles, confirm, cancel, error, open, close, page turn, notification, coin, equip, level-up, "next line" and four dialogue typing blips. File names are identical across kits (oakhold_confirm, neongrid_confirm...), so you can change the whole feel of your menus by changing one folder name.
The six kits
- Oakhold: wood, iron and parchment. Marimba notes, woodblock taps, paper rustle.
- Cryptstone: carved stone. Low knocks, stone slides, a low bell.
- Neon Grid: sci-fi synth. Bright plucks, zaps, filtered sweeps.
- Marshmallow: cozy and soft. Rounded boops and a kalimba.
- Tidewater: glossy glass notes, droplets and a water swish.
- Inkline: clean and minimal. Pure short tones, crisp ticks.
Each kit is in its own musical key, so confirm rises and cancel falls by the same interval, and coin, notify and level-up fit together.
Measured, not guessed
Every sound is set to a measured loudness for its job (quiet for hovers and typing, louder for rewards), so nothing jumps out of the mix. Each file passed an automated check before release: no clipping, no clicks, no abrupt endings, no dead air before the sound, no high-frequency fizz, no rumble, and confirm/level-up really rise while cancel really falls. Even 20 typing blips a second stay clean. The full QC report is included.
Formats
- WAV, 48 kHz, 16-bit, mono
- OGG Vorbis, level-matched to the WAVs

Questions
Can I use these in a commercial game?
Yes. Use them in any number of games and apps, free or commercial. No credit required. Just don't resell or share the sound files themselves as a sound pack.
Which engines does it work with?
Any engine that plays WAV or OGG: Godot, Unity, GameMaker, RPG Maker, Construct, GDevelop, LÖVE, Phaser, Defold and plain HTML5 audio.
How do I do dialogue typing sounds?
Play one of the four type_ blips every two or three letters, picking one at random. They are short and quiet on purpose.
Are these recordings or samples?
Neither. Every sound was synthesised from scratch by code, so there are no third-party samples inside.
Do they match the other Cabin Circuit assets?
Yes. The six kits are named after the six themes of Framewright 2 and the Wordwright dialogue box.
Pairs with: Framewright 2 (pixel UI kit, same six themes), Wordwright (Godot dialogue box with a typing sound slot) and Crumbline 2 (free pixel font).
Want to make your own?
Chirp Forge is our free browser tool for making a matching set of UI sounds at the right volume.
Made with AI: the sounds were synthesised by code written with AI assistance, then measured by automated checks and listened to by a person. All original, no samples.
