In short: Chirp Forge is a free browser tool that makes a whole matching set of UI sound effects for your game: 23 menu, dialogue and reward sounds in one style and key, each set to a measured volume for its job. Download them as WAV for Godot, Unity, GameMaker, RPG Maker, Construct, Phaser or any engine.

Most sound makers give you one random blip at a time. Chirp Forge gives you a set that belongs together: hover, three clicks, tab, slider tick, toggle on and off, confirm, cancel, error, open, close, page turn, notify, coin, equip, level up, "next line" and four dialogue typing blips.

How it works

  • Pick a style: Timber (wood), Flint (stone), Circuit (synth), Pillow (soft), Glass (glass and water) or Pen (minimal).
  • Shape it: choose a key, major or minor, a register, and four knobs: Brightness, Body, Length and Wobble.
  • Tweak any sound: "Take" rolls a new variation, "Lock" keeps one you love while you change the rest.
  • Hear it in context: a little pretend game menu, "Lantern Road", is wired to your kit: buttons, settings tabs, toggles, a slider, a chat with an innkeeper, coins and a level-up.
  • Download: one WAV at a time or the whole kit as a zip (44.1 or 48 kHz, 16-bit), with a README of what each sound is for.
  • Share: every kit has a short code, so you can rebuild the exact same sounds later.

Why the volume matters

Hovers and typing blips fire constantly, so they're quiet. Clicks and menus sit in the middle, rewards are louder, and level-up is the biggest. Every sound is measured (K-weighted loudness) and set to its level, peaks stay under -3 dBTP, and every sound fades in and out cleanly, so nothing clicks, clips or jumps out of the mix.

Questions

Can I use the sounds in a commercial game?
Yes. Anything you make with Chirp Forge is free for any game or app, commercial too. Credit is appreciated but not required. Please don't resell the sounds as a sound pack or re-upload the tool.

Does it need an internet connection?
No. Everything is generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Which engines does it work with?
Anything that plays WAV: Godot, Unity, GameMaker, RPG Maker, Construct, GDevelop, LÖVE, Phaser, Defold and plain HTML5.

How do I use the typing blips?
Play one of the four at random every two or three letters of dialogue.

Want hand-tuned sounds instead?
Pocket Chirps 2 has 138 sounds in six matching kits, and Pocket Chirps Lite is free.

Made with AI: the sound engine and tool were written with AI assistance, and every style was measured by automated checks (2,346 test sounds, zero failures) before release.
